Columbia Time Machine | Civil War Coin Trail

Want to participate in our kickoff event on February 7, 2015? Get event details here.

A special series of geocaches have been placed at 24 historic locations around Columbia. Each one of them played a very significant role in the Civil War, specifically General Sherman's burning of Columbia. There are three categories of locations with eight caches in each. You must find seven out of those eight for each category. The first 300 people to complete seven of eight in each category will get a commemorative trackable geocoin!

So how does it work?

1. Register for a free account at geocaching.com.

2. Download the passport.

3. Visit the sites and get your stamp.

4. Fill out your completed passport with your information and turn in at the Columbia Regional Visitors Center or mail to:
