FATZ was born in 1988, when a few friends got together and decided they'd had enough of those huge, you've-seen-one-you've-seen-them-all type of casual dining restaurants. They wanted a place that was different. That had ties to the surrounding area. That was set up to serve the community, not some corporate bottom line.
