SCE&G South Recreation Site, located on the South end of the dam (Lexington side), offers picnic tables, shelters, swimming (no lifeguards), public restrooms and boat ramps.

Parking fees are charged during normal operating hours to partially offset the cost of maintenance, security and improvements at the parks. Fees for motorcycles are $2. Car and truck fees are $3. The fee for buses is $5. Season passes can be purchased for $45 per vehicle. 

The park will open April 4 for the 2012 season and will remain open through Sept. 14. 

Operating hours will be Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. until May 4, after which the park will stay open until 8 p.m. Weekend and holiday hours are from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
