One Columbia for Arts and History, working to unify and amplify the thriving arts and history culture of Columbia, South Carolina.

Our mission:

To Advise

One Columbia for Arts and History, in an effort to celebrate, promote and elevate the role of arts and historic preservation in our city, serves in an advisory role to City Council's Arts and History Committee and also to City's Hospitality Tax Committee. It does not seek to replace or reduce Hospitality Tax opportunities for any other organization. We seek the input of members of the arts and history community and deliver that message to the City. Our goal is to unify and focus efforts toward a larger shared purpose and common agenda.

Amplify

One Columbia for Arts and History serves to amplify and enhance the efforts and programs of already established arts/preservation organizations. The organization will bring local cultural groups together in marketing efforts to bolster the arts and history as one strong community. The hope is to cross-fertilize by providing a backbone that encourages organizations to celebrate and promote each other through their individual programming and events. Toward this end, One Columbia for Arts and History will also champion targeted private fund raising to bolster the efforts of existing organizations and enhance public art in the City.If you are part of an arts or History organization and would like to participate, please tell us about it.
