Columbia, SC will host the 11th Annual Chick-fil-A Classic Holiday Basketball Tournament on December 19-22, 2012 at Richland Northeast High School. Get ready for a hoopin' good time as you and your friends cheer on your favorite high school basketball teams in this four-day, action-packed tournament. The Chick-fil-A Classic has become one of the most prestigious high school basketball tournaments in the nation, ranked #3 by CBS Sports Affiliate Max Preps

The only tournament ranked in the top five nationally less than 25 years old, the Chick-Fil-A Classic will feature five (5) teams that are nationally and regionally ranked from South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, California, Florida, Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania. The tournament will also feature 12 of ESPN's 'rising high school basketball stars,' such as Shannon Hale (Christ School, N.C.), Isaac and Daniel Hamilton (St. John Bosco, Calif.) and South Carolina star, P.J. Dozier (Spring Valley, S.C.).  Classic participants will compete in one of three separate showcases, with the 16 teams divided into eight-team brackets, all to be determined at a later date.


Daily ticket prices are $15 for reserved floor seating, $10 for general admission and $5 for children age 10 and under.  To purchase reserved seats tickets, visit the Chick-fil-A classic website. Individual daily tickets can be purchased at the gymnasium ticket booth no earlier than one hour before the first scheduled game of the day. Tournament proceeds support the Greater Columbia Educational Advancement Foundation (GCEAF) to provide scholarships to student in the Greater Columbia area.

The Carolina Challenge Showcase will again be played in conjunction with the Chick-fil-A Classic. The Carolina Challenge Showcase will feature 9 additional teams competing in a series of games. View the list of participating Classic teams and Challenge teams on their website.
