ERNEST LEE, "THE Funky CHICKEN" Man, Performs Live At The Columbia Regional Visitors Center Self-Proclaimed "Pop Artist" to Create Masterpieces at the Visitors Center
Born in Edgefield, South Carolina, Ernest Lee began painting at age twelve. "I do it from my heart, not from pictures", is how Ernest describes his unique brand of folk art.
Ernest Lee's thirty-eight year career has included exhibits at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art in Alexandria, Virginia, the Martin Luther King Library in Washington, DC, the South Carolina State Museum, the Augusta Chamber of Commerce and the Rose Hill Art Center in Aiken, South Carolina. Day by day his popularity grows.
WHAT: Artist Ernest Lee will be creating his "funky chickens" and more outside the Columbia Regional Visitors Center
WHEN: October 18th – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. October 19th - 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. October 20th - 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
