FRIDAY, JUNE 1

Le Cafe Jazz at Finlay Park
Every Friday the Skipp Pearson Jazz Foundation presents Le Cafe Jazz at Finlay Park, which offers an indoor and outdoor bistro with French and American cuisine, featuring a happy hour piano jazz set, followed by a professional jazz set with the house band and an open jam session. Craft. Bar. Happy. Weekend. at Columbia Museum of Art
Craft Bar Happy Weekend connects professional artisans and their handmade goods from across the Southeast with shoppers and crafting enthusiasts of all ages. Enjoy quality crafts, local food, music and the opportunity to make connections with the artists. A special ticket on Friday gives you access to a preview of all the crafters and their goods while enjoying a performance by Midtown Dickens. View the schedule and admission information.

Nature at Night at Sesquicentennial State Park
Find out what's up when the sun goes down in one of our state parks. Look for animal eye shine, listen for nocturnal clamors and calls and try your hand at some of the skills nighttime critters need to survive! Pre-registration is required. View registration information.

SATURDAY, JUNE 2

SC Fresh Fest at South Carolina State Farmer's Market
This charity event will raise money for health and wellness causes for youth and families in the community. Activities include a 5K, 10K, Walk to Fight Diabetes, Kids Fun Zone, Splash Zone, live music, food truck round up, cooking demonstrations, and a variety of entertainment and activities around the farmers market.

Ribs & Renaissance at Eau Claire Town Center
The Ribs & Renaissance Festival is back and ready to spice up your summer festival season. Just like a secret barbeque sauce recipe, the Eau Claire Community Council is blending film, food and family fun to bring you an excellent community event. Admission is free.

StoryFestSC at South Carolina State Museum
A day filled with family friendly events including author presentations, storytelling, a craft area, bag lunches in the Congaree room, Readers Theater and visits from ETV's Smart Cat and USC's own Cocky all free of charge for families as we celebrate reading and stories. Learn about how to join Summer Reading programs in your county. Meet award winning authors and experience the joy of storytelling together. Admission is free.

National Trails Day at Various State and National Parks and Forests
It's National Trails Day, and Columbia is full of opportunities to spend your weekend outdoors. Celebrate by hiking, biking, and exploring trails throughout the region, including South Carolina's only national park. View a list of events planned for Saturday at Congaree National Park, Sesquicentennial State Park and Harbison State Forest, as well as surrounding events throughout the weekend.
