Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment. It's the most original experience in the Midlands this summer. All tickets are $30. Get your tickets online!
The Columbia Blowfish are playing Thomasville tonight at Capital City Stadium. It's Thirsty Thursday, tickets are just 6 bucks and first pitch is at 7 p.m.
Friday, July 20
Need to run off some steam? Meet more Columbia-area runners tonight at 7:45 p.m. for the 2ndAnnual Safe in the City 5K Walk and Run. If you register in advance, walk
registration is $20 and 5K $25. It's $30 if you register on site.
Need some cold beer to cool you off in this Columbia heat? Reserve your ticket today and head over to Riverbanks Zoo on August 3 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for the famous Brew at the Zoo. Stroll through the zoo, sample a wide variety of imports, domestics and micros, listen to live music and encounter animals up-close. Food will be available for purchase.

If you're into supporting local farmers, make your way to the All-Local Farmers' Market today. Located at 711 Whaley Street and open every Saturday from 8 a.m. ' 12 p.m., you'll find all-local produce, baked
goods, meat, crafts and more. The Farmers' Market also serves as a collection station for Harvest Hope Food Bank. Look for the marked container inside the market building!
It's Team Shaw appreciation night at the Capital City Stadium. The Blowfishare recognizing all members of Shaw Air Force Base throughout the night. Kids can play catch with the team on the field at 6 p.m. The Blowfish will play Gastonia at 7 p.m.

The Chapin Community Theatre will perform the Little Princess this afternoon at Midlands Tech's Harbison Campus. Enjoy the uplifting story of a little girl banished and left to fend for her self. Showtime is 3 p.m.
Family fun is what summer is all about! Head over to Hyde Park July 29 ' 31 for the annual Hyde Park Community Days. The festival schedule will include live bands, a car show, a fire apparatus show, craft and food vendors, kids games, a playground, a moon walk and more!

If you're in a giving mood, meet the Red Cross tomorrow for a downtown blood drive. It will be taking place in the Capital Center building at 1201 Main Street, tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
