Columbia's Main Street will be bustling this Saturday as we celebrate the inaugural "May Day on Main." Explore shops, restaurants, museums, art galleries and more in downtown Columbia, SC.
Start the morning on Main walking through Soda City Market. (Check out their full lineup of vendors).
Grab a cup of coffee, some homemade donuts, locally-made goat cheese, Cromer's popcorn and, if you're lucky, a bowl of Rosso's parmesan grits. The market starts at 8 am and wraps up around noon. Just a few steps from the market, Drip on Main will serve $5.50 mimosas all day!
While you're here, stop by the Columbia Museum of Art. Stop in the Museum to check out the newest exhibit, "Found in Translation: The Geometric Abstraction of Steven Naifeh," free with museum admission. Their gift shop will have a sidewalk sale from 10 am - 5 pm. And at 3 pm, check out Baker & Baker presents: Art of Music with Marina Alexandra, free with museum admission.
Walk up to the 1600 block for Mast General Store's 2nd anniversary celebration and their sidewalk sale. Get 40% off name brands like the North Face, plus 50% off Woolrich, Merrell and more. From 11 am - 1 pm, Southern writer Ken Burger will be signing his book, Baptized in Sweet Tea: A Collection of Ken Burger's Columns Celebrating the South. In addition, Mast's neighbor Paradise Ice will have special Mast Store flavors! Grab a cup of RC Cola or Moon Pie flavored custard for the sidewalk sale.

Over the Top, located inside the Arcade Mall, will also have a sidewalk sale from 10 am - 3 pm. And just a few steps further towards the South Carolina State House, Uptown on Main is giving customers 20% off when you mention "May Day on Main!" Uptown is open from 10 am - 3 pm on Saturday.
Dine at Villa Tronco for lunch or dinner, mention Mast General Store's 2nd anniversary and receive a complimentary glass of wine. Wrap up the evening at Richland Library's "The Literary Vine," an evening of wine, beer, music and food from 7:30 - 9:30 pm.
