Free Tours of the South Carolina State House
The first Saturday of every month, tour the South Carolina State House  starting at 9:30 am. Each hour on the half hour, you can tour the State House and get a historical look inside its development. Read our State House blog for a sneak preview. Free.

Summer Concert Series at Finlay Park
The City of Columbia's summer concert series starts this weekend with outdoor concerts at Finlay Park through August 10. This week, Peace & Love Band (variety music) will kick off the series. Lawn chairs, blankets and dancing shoes are recommended.

National Treasures: Casablanca at Nickelodeon Theatre
The Nick kicks off its summer-long National Treasures series with Casablanca, considered one of the greatest films of all time. American expat Rick (Humphrey Bogart) owns a Moroccan nightclub during World War II. His nightclub fills up regularly with Germans, other Europeans and refugees, including Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), the woman who broke Rick's heart but now needs his help to escape with her husband to America. See the classic romance for the first time or for the hundredth time on Columbia's historic Main Street. Matinee - $8.00; General - $10.00
