the new kid-friendly hot spot

Venture into the hidden world of creepy crawlers during the opening weekend of Bugs! Giant Robotic Creatures. You're going to need a big flyswatter because these dragonflies, honeybees and other insects are enlarged 40 to 120 times their actual size. Then, go hog wild at the second annual Oyster and Pig Throw Down at City Roots Urban Farm. Have your cake and eat it too at Eat Your Heart Out, a live demonstration of modern art-inspired desserts that taste as scrumptious as they look. Cheer on the USC Gamecocks as they dribble to the hoop against Kentucky. Finally, lace up your best crimson kicks for the Ronald McDonald House's Red Shoe Run through the beautiful neighborhoods of Shandon.

the new artistic hot spot

Snack on complimentary popcorn while enjoying the opening of Trustus Theatre's In the Red and Brown Water, an emotional coming of age story. Great Moments in Italian Opera is an extravaganza of some of the most famous Italian operatic solos, duets, arias, trios and quartets. Then, don't miss an evening of international professional dancers showcasing classical and contemporary ballet at Columbia Classical Ballet's annual LifeChance performance
