The New Southern Hot Spot
Ice Ice Baby. Join Vanilla Ice at the Vista Block Party Friday evening at Tin Roof for live music, food and fun! Spend Saturday morning with vendors from all over the state at Soda City Market. Don your garnet and black and cheer on the South Carolina Gamecocks as they take on the University of Central Florida. The Irmo Okra Strut is back, so spend the weekend celebrating one of the most Southern vegetables there is! The South Carolina State Museum debuts the new Julius Caesar: Roman Military, Might and Machines exhibit Saturday, so be sure to check it out! Finally, catch a live performance at one of our local theatres. "Marie Antoinette" is taking the stage at Trustus Theatre, while Town Theatre will have showings of "Singin' in the Rain" all weekend long.
