We’re going full throttle this month with festivals, concerts, exhibits, plays and a major sports moment. You won’t want to miss one minute of the action, so take a look at our roundup below, then check out our calendar of events for even more (yes, there’s more!) going on in Columbia SC.

Signature Spring Events

Festival season is here and it’s not going away any time soon, friends, so settle in for the long haul and add as many of these to your schedule as possible. Start strong with the 2nd Annual ColaJazz Festival, 9th Annual Mardi Gras Columbia Festival and The Blue Pickups Mardi Gras Party on Main Street. Let the good times roll right into St. Patrick’s Day festivities with the 8th Annual St. Practice Day at Tin Roof, Gregory Electric’s Official Kick-Off to St. Pat’s in Five Points and, of course, the 37th Annual St. Pat’s in Five Points, featuring headlining act Dashboard Confessional.

Add some athletics into your month with the Run Hard Columbia Marathon, St. Pat’s Get to the Green, Clemson vs. College of Charleston Baseball Game at Segra Park, Palmetto Sportsman’s Classic and the Quarry Crusher Run.

Raise a glass to Soda City Suds Week, including a special edition of Arts & Draughts. Fall head over heels into four days of film, music, parties and so much more during Indie Grits.

Mix shopping and socializing at Soda City Market and the Richland Library Farmers Market.

Slam Dunk

You may have heard, but this little thing called the first and second rounds of the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is in town this month. Check out the full roundup of specially-planned community events going on around the festivities that weekend here

The season for outdoor concerts is back and we’re ready for the return of Vista After Five with Seventy Six and Sunny and Reggie Sullivan Band this month. Make it instrumental with CMA Chamber Music on Main, Mark Rapp Group at Pearlz Upstairz and South Carolina Philharmonic presents Springtime & Shaw. Head to The Senate for shows by The Descendants, Cash Unchained - The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute and As I Lay Dying. 1626 Main has got it going on this month with a Dueling Piano Show with First Thursday on Main, ColaJazz on Main and Ceasar Entertainment. Then it’s just a hop, skip and a jump over to the Venue on Main, where you can catch Tokyo Joe.
