Getting Around

Whether traveling by air or vehicle, you'll love Columbia's easy access. Only 10 cities in America have three major Interstates transecting their metropolitan areas and Columbia is one of them. Columbia is served by I-20, I-26 and I-77, and is within 90 miles of I-85 and I-95, making travel to our city simple from every direction. Other major area highways include US 1, 21, 76, 176, 178, 321, 378 and 601.

In fact Columbia's network of major highways serves us almost too well. Because Columbia is green year-round, with large ancient oaks, long-leaf pines and magnolia trees almost everywhere, getting a good look at the cityscape from any of those major highways is somewhat of a challenge.

Daily passenger and cargo airline service is provided through the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) 803-822-5010. Amtrak provides passenger train service 800-USA-RAIL and freight services I provided by Norfolk Southern Systems and CSX. Greyhound Buss Lines offers interstate bus service.

Once in town, a variety of options are available from rental cars to limos to horse-drawn carriages!
